In The Field brought site-specific theatre to an urban organic community vegetable field. It was a collaboration between Sense of Place Projects and CERES Community Environment Park in Brunswick, Melbourne. The project involved eight months of vegetable growing and rehearsal onsite, and culminated in a sublime and lively performance that weaved together farming stories and sensitive, spirited responses to the local landscape. Throughout the process we grew a creative language that opened new ways of seeing the place, inspired and enriched urban vegetable growing activities, and connected the audience members and participating artists to the local landscape. 

In the Field was performed in March 2008 during the Ceres Harvest Festival.
