Workshops

A fantastic way to connect your group the local environment, and to build communication and trust. Sense of Place Workshops are lively and creative group experiences.

Our workshops can include

  • An  engaging theatre and music performance about local environmental topics
  • Outdoor activities such as blindfold exercises and ecology games.
  • Creative responses to the local environment such as writing, movement and drawing exercises.
  • A interactive learning session about the local ecosystem and local history.

We have run workshops for Melbourne Water, Scienceworks, CERES Community Environment Park in Brunswick, The Collingwood Children’s Farm, many primary and secondary schools, the wilderness society, bushwalking clubs and many local festivals.

Testimonials:

'Since I moved to Melbourne from New Zealand last year, I have had a very urban, international sense of Melbourne as a city. But your workshops helped me to situate myself in this specific place with it’s unique ecology and landscape and within an ecosystem that I am a part of’…. Alys Longley, performance artist and teacher

‘The Sense of Place workshop gave my students a greater sense of connection to their

local place, and a greater understanding of how they fit into this place as individuals.’
